CAIWU members Henry and Jorge were dismissed by Principle, the cleaning company contracted by Google.

CAIWU challenged the dismissals and launched a campaign demanding that both workers be reinstated. Our members and supporters took to the streets to make their voices heard and call on Principle and Google to ensure that Henry and Jorge could return to their jobs.

The campaign demonstrated the importance of workers standing together and refusing to accept unfair treatment. CAIWU has never been afraid to fight for its members, including when that means taking the campaign directly to the companies involved.

The campaign was won. Henry and Jorge were reinstated and returned to their jobs.

Their reinstatement showed what workers can achieve when they organise and stand together.

Solidarity works.
